Dr. Goldwaser is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Clinical Genetics. She received her B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior from Barnard College. She earned her M.D. degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Goldwaser completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and then completed her Medical Genetics residency at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr Goldwaser was an attending physician at the department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health at Montefiore Medical center for over 7 years where she was part of the Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound division as well as the Reproductive and Medical Genetics division. At Montefiore, Dr. Goldwaser was part of the labor and delivery team for 13 years. Her expertise also include managing labor and delivery for high risk pregnancies with fetal anomalies. Dr Goldwaser served as the Associate Clerkship Director in OB/Gyn at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
She joined Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates in 2019. She will be performing prenatal ultrasounds and diagnostic procedures as well as providing Genetic consultations for complex genetic cases in the prenatal, preconception and adult cancer realm.
Dr. Goldwaser is passionate about empowering her patients through education to understand and take an active role in their pregnancy experience. She specializes in planning for future pregnancies, consultation prior to IVF and pre-implantation genetic testing, carrier screening with genetic testing, pregnancy loss, fetal ultrasound and prenatal diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS). Dr. Goldwaser also specializes in hereditary cancer syndromes such as BRCA1 & BRCA2 carrier families and Lynch syndrome.
