A Message to Our Patients:

As of February 14, 2021, New Yorkers with comorbidities and underlying conditions, including pregnancy, are eligible to receive the COVID19 vaccine. Vaccine appointments can be made at authorized vaccination sites throughout the State of New York.

Currently, the COVID-19 vaccine IS NOT available at our practice locations.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT

If you have any of the conditions listed in Governor Cuomo’s announcement on February 5, 2021, we strongly recommend you book an appointment on the New York State DOH website.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PROOF OF ELIGIBILITY

If you are eligible for vaccination based on the new eligibility guidelines, you are required to provide the vaccination site with a letter from your doctor verifying your qualifying medical condition. We are working to quickly identify patients with these conditions according to the information we have in our electronic health record. If you have a portal account, please contact us through the portal to request a letter of eligibility that will be emailed to you.

UPDATES FROM THE CDC

The updates from the CDC Registry data are very reassuring. “Recent data published by the CDC demonstrated that the frequency of pregnancy complications in pregnant women who took the vaccine was no different from what would be expected in pregnant women who did not. Our doctors are available for consultation if you would like to discuss the COVID vaccine in pregnancy.

As always, please do your part to end this pandemic by continuing to socially distance, wash your hands and wear your masks. Together, we can stop the spread of COVID-19!
