Carnegie Imaging for Women in Manhattan is interviewing for a Staff Sonographer. Under general supervision, is responsible for performing a variety of technical diagnostic procedures which includes non-invasive examination of the fetus and the mother, as well as performing gynecological ultrasound exams. Duties may include assisting with invasive procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and saline infusion sonography.

Essential Functions:
•Must be able to produce and record high-quality ultrasound images in accordance with department protocols and provide verbal or written preliminary summary of findings to the physician.
•Will operate various ultrasound equipment as directed by the physician and according to established standards and practices.
•Provide direct patient care that ensures safe and compassionate care, in an environment that is welcoming to patients and their families.
•Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals utilizing effective communication skills to facilitate optimal patient care.

Requirements:
•Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certified
•Graduate of an accredited diagnostic school
•Two or more years in an OBGYN setting preferably in an MFM setting
