Dr. Kavitha Ram is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and maternal-fetal medicine specialist dedicated to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care for both high-risk and low-risk pregnancies. She serves as Medical Director of Labor & Delivery at Mount Sinai West, where she works to advance a modern model of obstetric care rooted in safety, collaboration, and respect for physiologic birth.

With extensive leadership experience across New York City, Dr. Ram is committed to elevating maternal outcomes while preserving the dignity and individuality of every birth experience. Her approach integrates risk assessment with individualized decision-making — ensuring that every intervention is evidence-based, clearly discussed, and aligned with each patient’s goals and safety.
